The last story

This car was owned by ryan. Its a 1985 old roadster. He new it would be special as my last post and thought that it would he would be a great help to me if i was able to do this car. His life is Surf, it revolves around his life. Helping others, Surfing, and the Mio Sym.

He loves this little scooter because it saves him a lot of gas money that he needs for surfing and it provides a really cool way to get around town. He also likes the style that the scooter provides for his look. Parking is a breeze for him too. He can park where ever he wants to and he won’t get a ticket. This is a very similar to the other 3 cars in my blog it isn’t that fast and it is a perfect little thing to get around town with.

This little thing is a Mio Sym that has a top speed around 30 mph he can’t go on the free way so if he needs to take a long trip he needs to take a true car. For his small little surf trips too he has a little rack on the side of his scooter. The Farthest that Matty has traveled is to Carpinteria and back. I am aslo wondering how long it took because he cant go on the freeway.

His favorite surf spot in Santa Barbara is Rincon point, but Matty has been to all over the world to surf so there are a lot of more discrete spots across the world. Matty pierce is also a helpful guy he goes to Nicaragua to install water filters and surf. He likes to be helpful to people that other people usually just donate money too and think they are helping from far away, but Matty likes to get his hands dirty and really likes to get out there and help.

Tractor

This is my grandfathers green tractor.

He has 3 Model A’s. One is named Ms. Mustard, a 1928  he bought from Missouri. He has another model A that is a roadster pickup that is a two seater that is from 1929 nicked named tinker toy, because it came from the owner of Tinkers restaurant in summer land. His favorite is a 1931 Thayaton it has a nickname of The General, because their are a number of thing on it used by a general used in parades and shows. This car came from Uruguay and it was brought into the US and transformed into a left hand driving car. This car is also a convertible which is his favorite. This is “The General”. The reason why he got into such old cars and keeping them in the survival categorization. His first car was a 1935 Ford 3 window coop that he paid $50 for when he was 14 years old. He used to drive it on a farm in Sacramento. His second car he got when he was 15 years old was a 1931 coop that he also paid $50 for. He put himself through college by buying and selling Model A’s and parts. In the early 1960’s. No one could buy any parts for Model A’s than the ones you found on cars. He ended up having about 19 cars below 1930, while he was going to college. He drove a Model A through out high school and college. He learned to work on it in auto shop and loved it because it was so easy, He says they are very simple and fun to work on. There was a time that he didn’t really have a working Model A, In 1968 when he got married he had one last car that he had put together, a 1931 deluxe roadster. He ended up selling his last Model A in 1969 for $1000 that they used to buy their first piece of realistate that cost $13000 and the $1000 was the down payment. He had bought 4 residences on the beach at channel island harbor. they ended up do having a Model A for about 30 years. Until now, He has his 3 favorite cars with him on his ranch.

The Jeep

Peter who is my childhood friend loves his car. He owns only this car, It is a 1970 Ferrari . He loves the old car feel, he says it is so special because no one else has such a special car as you, there could be someone else with the same car but their story is always different. He says that “car people” are the best kind of people because they know how to respect you and make you feel special, even if your old!

Sam obtained this car after saving up as much as possible after college, he went to USC, and got a degree in engineering. He has always loved the car, he has dreamed of having it for his whole life. he says its kinda stupid but he does love the logo. He has always liked the look and feel of the interior and the look when he is driving down state street on a perfect Sunday. By the beach is his favorite spot to drive. He loves taking his wife in it too, she doesn’t like the old car smell but she says it worth it having such a cool car in her life.

With his Major in Engineering he knows how to fix it up if it ever get damaged or a little trouble starting in the morning, He always knows what to do. he says that he loves cars like this too because it teaches him to really care about things and people. The value if he keeps it in a condition will always just go up. He plans to never sell it until he really has to and cant enjoy it like my friend Joe bug.

MAYBE A LITTLE FASTER

This is a 1978 308 Ferrari, the owner loves this car and really was open about his story of obtaining this car. His name is Luke and this is his Ferrari. The very top speed he said he has never gotten to is 157 mph.

This is a 2016 Boxster Porsche, it is the youngest of all the cars in my blog. My grandpa once had a older sedan type of cars that had way more room, but it was convertible and wasn’t fast enough for him. So he sold that car and just recently got this Boxster. It is way faster and the top speed, that he has not done just for the car is 180 mph. It has 375 horsepower, and it has 310 Lb-Ft. This machine is crazy fast. He loves that feeling going fast and feeling the wind in his hair. Thiscar if you didn’t get that already is convertible, if its not convertible its not fun.

He has owned this car for two years and has really enjoyed it. He got it new, so it was pretty expensive, but he says it was all worth it. Its not just for going fast too, he loves to drive it on Sundays to church and then lunch and around town. His favorite thing to do though is go fast, it was really his main motivation to buy the car even if he won’t admit it. what he does on the week days is kinda boring but the weekends are full of fun. the weekdays are full of trips to LA and the airport, he is passionate about his work and he cares a lot about his family. My grandfather has been a great father and grandpa to me and my father. We all love fast and old cars, I got into them really because my dad had a old Porsche, and then a old VW bus, and that what made me like the VW bug, and my grandfather started it all off getting my father into it. I hope one day I can teach my family about the amazingness of classic cars and how special they are, to me and my parents and the parents before them. Really the evolution of the car, and how hopefully they actually drive and they don’t get driven around by AI.

MUSTANG SAM

Sam is a older fellow who loves his car. He owns only this car, It is a 1970 Ford Mustang. He loves the old car feel, he says it is so special because no one else has such a special car as you, there could be someone else with the same car but their story is always different. THE MYSTERY CAR

This car is owned by Nick. This is a 1936 Hotrod he tells me, he doesn’t really want to tell me the actual brand. He loves this car and has had it for about 20 years. It was his dads and his dad passed it down to him. He fixed it up and now brings it to the Santa Barbara Car show on Sundays. He really likes the way that he can have a car that looks crazy but it still is great to get around with. He loves his slow rides but he is never nervous to go fast and have some fun. He said that the top speed was 85 miles per hour, thats faster than my car can go!

His dad and him loved this car. His dad used it to do  little showing off, but Nick didn’t want to do that, so he just decided that the car needs a break and to be shown in a cool way that everyone could enjoy. Not just him. He loves sharing his story about the car and how he got into things like this and Nick always likes to pass that down just like his dad did when he passed down the car to him.

Nick is a car fanatic, he loves old cars that show a lot of the engine and the cool colors. The favorite thing about this car that he liked is the eye ball on front of it. He never really told me why he added it but it sounded like he added it for his dad and something about what he used to do with it. The eyeball with wings is my favorite part and I feel like it adds this great feel that makes you think about the cars past and its new story that is being created by Nick and his family.
